Welcome to the What We Wrote blogpage. Please pull up a beanbag and settle down with a peppermint tea. Biscuit? No? Okay, well then we’ll begin.
What We Wrote is an exciting new project from The University of Derby, founded by Laura Williams. In December 2009 we will launch a collection of new poems and poetry from some of Derby’s most exciting new talent. Copies will be available at some of the biggest bookstores on the web, and we’re even going to throw a few copies in the direction of literary agents. It’s a pretty big deal for the creative writers around here.
The stories and poems will also be available for online download, and for those people out there who seldom pick up a book and prefer an audio kind of interaction panic not! You’ll also be able to download the audio versions of our literary delights.
A percentage of the profits will be donated to the National Literacy Trust for the development of reading and writing in children and adults. It is a cause we’re very passionate about.
